I need a new JOURNAL

Since I haven't updated it since April. And I have much to report! I'm talking a GAP YEAR!!! Woohoo! Now it's not exactly a vacation.
I'm doing this gap year to improve my health since it's been so crummy these past four years. So I'm dedicating fall to go to these health places and find a routine that I can continue into college. I just got back from one in Iowa and I leave again in a month to go somewhere else.
In the meantime, I want to make it up to my watchers for being so inactive. I will make it a promise to upload at least two photos from Africa daily. I'm also working on requests which I will upload as I finish them. Probably about one every day or two. After those requests, I'm willing to take more. While I'm away in Florida (that's where I go next) I can do sketches which I'll color when I get back.
Oh, I'll probably also do some of the memes I've been storing up!
So look forward to this stuff!
Another unrelated thing: I REALLY want to learn how to make journal skins! Please, if someone knows, can they explain this to me or show me a good tutorial. Thank you!

Gotta be quick, but I just wanted to let my watchers know that I've been away this past week on spring break, hence the lack of submissions and lovely photos from Africa. I won't be putting anything up until at least next weekend after my mock exams. Just to let you know.
I normally wouldn't say anything but I've gotten such an influx of watchers lately (at least for me) that I feel it necessary -since I assume you've all come to watch me for my more recent types of submissions.
I love and thank you all for whatever reason you're watching me.... and I have to go because my sister is grumbling.

Why Gimp? Why? (HELP PLEASE!!!)

Ok, so this journal is for two reasons:
1: A question about Gimp.
2: To try out the new journal format.
Alright, so on to the main issue. I made something on Gimp and tried to submit it to DA, but for some reason, it's not loading. So, what do I do? Do I have to change the format? Is there something on Gimp that I have to do before submitting it? HELP ME!
I'm pretty sure I have some watchers who use gimp, so I'd really appreciate the help since it's a miracle I was able to do anything on this 'mini photoshop' at all.

Oh! You know what, while I'm at it, it would also be cool if someone could help me get a skin for journals. It's not so much that I want someone to make me a skin (I think I'm capable of that much), but I don't know how to actually put one together ie. when I press 'edit skin' on the side of the this New Journal Entry, I don't know what to do! Do I need codes? What kind of codes? Do I need a separate thing for header, footer, background, etc...? Again, I would REALLY appreciate help.
So, to sum it up, I need help with:
1. Submitting a Gimp file
2. Putting up a skin for journals
PS: I'll start putting up photos from Africa soon. I even have the folder all ready! Hurrah! The first few aren't all that fantastic because I was just getting used to using the camera. But they'll get much, much better as I submit more. On a side note, I have to figure out what to put on the bottom as rules. Probably the same as what I listed in my last journal, just more formal. And do you think I should title the pictures? Because I have so many of the same animal/species, that I could just go: Zebra 001, Zebra 002, etc... Though maybe for the better ones ie. worthy of a title aka. I'm actually able to think up a title, I'll give a fancy name. I dunno.

Pictures, Pictures, and more Pictures

No this journal isn't about pictures! ...ok, so maybe it is. What gave it away?!!! Sorry about that. Being ill for three days does something to your brain. (Trust me, you don't have to be sick to have your mental problems). Shuddup, parenthesis!
Anyways, where was I?
So yes. Pictures. Lots of them! Now, I'm not really a photographer by nature, meaning my preferred medium is anything with paper and a pencil. HOWEVER, this summer I got some quality time with a lens and I think they turned out pretty good. Now, if it was something like me taking pictures of a rock on my driveway or a crack in my wall, then I wouldn't be putting these up (besides, I wouldn't take pictures of that stuff. Walle, you're 10X better at making a brick look artistic and amazing!
).
The reason I'm putting this stuff up is because I got to take pictures of the African wilderness! Twas amazing! I used a canon camera with this HUGE lens so that I could zoom in really close to the animals and get great quality pics (I don't remember the type of lens; I'll find out later). Now, I still wouldn't really consider myself a photographer, but if there were ever a time, it was certainly in Africa. I'm a modest person by nature but I must say that some photos were National Geographic worthy. And I really got to learn a lot about the workings of a camera. I really love my camera now! I should use it more often at home.
So back to the topic at hand. I have literally 9000 photos of African wildlife and I plan on submitting the majority of it. Not all at once of course! But consecutively over the course of a few weeks. There are a lot of photos that are pretty similar so I'll only post the best and if you want to see more, just message me or leave a comment on my page. See, there are rules for these photos:
-They're all going to have a watermark because unfortunately, I don't trust you people.
-BUT I don't mind letting you use them as stock or for photomanipulation, so just message me with a note if you want to use a photo and I will send it to you.
-So I guess the overall rule is that you cannot use my photos without my permission! Seriously, I'll hunt you down.
Those are the only rules I can think of for now
